![]() ![]() I've attached a screenshot of the Avast screen supposedly scanning a DVD, but just staying at 0% with no progress. That's not right, especially when you keep in mind that the old version would scan a CD and DVD (which usually has a few 100 MB to a few GB on it) in around a minute or 2 if not less. Even worse than the above is that when I try to scan any CD or DVD, Avast doesn't do anything, the only thing that happens is that the scan screen pops up, and then it just stays on 0%, and I'll wait and wait and nothing happens. In the new version however, the time duration is never available, while the percent and the others are available only sometimes. The difference is that in the old version you could follow the scan progress in real time, meaning you could see exactly which file it was scanning each second, you could see the time duration of the scan in progress, and you could see the number of processed files. ![]() Ever since then, their scanning doesn't seem to be the same. Hi, I have Avast Free on my Vista Laptop, and a while ago they told me to download and update to their latest version which I promptly did.
